Rides

It's not always about the racing...

Social rides are a great way to meet other riders from the area, and also to be guided through new trails you've never ridden by experienced riders. To keep up to date with all of the latest social riding information (as well as information on upcoming events) then subscribe to the social riders mailing list.

Our social rides are achievable for riders of every ability, and aim to be enjoyable and as the name suggests, social. If you want to race we suggest you see our race calendar. There are three different types of social rides:

  • Day rides are at a cruisy pace, with no pressure. Have a chat while you ride, discover new trails, and meet new riding buddies.
  • Epic rides are for the more serious social rider. Expect fit and experienced riders, and challenging xc terrain. If you ride regularly, and can maintain a consistent pace for 3 hours plus then an epic is for you. NEW NOTE : All riders must hold a valid MTBA licence and ride a suitable XC or endurance type bike. (Due to previous bad experiences freeride, commuter or big DH bikes will not be allowed.)
  • Night rides are pretty self explainatory. Riders will need a minimum 10 watt bar or head mounted lamp (with at least 1.5 hours burn time), rear flashing red light.
